“This mix was made in memory to the summers of my childhood - those hot desert summer days and nights where it’s still 90 degress when you’re trying to sleep. Getting out the water hose out to spray up into the air like it’s raining because we could never afford a real pool. Staying in front of the fan all day with a wet towl because my abuelxs would never let us turn on the A/C. Running through sprinklers and eating all the red bolis before getting to any of the others colors. Throwing a slip n’ slide on top of the dirt because there’s no grass in the desert. Making the best out of what you’ve got - this is what this mix is dedicated to.”

Sam was born in East L.A. and raised in El Paso - given the best of both worlds living near the ocean and the desert. Like the rest of us, she's just trying to get through the daily struggles of this imperialist white supremacist capitalist patriarchy, one day at a time. She spends her spare time caffeinated, creating art, and hanging out with her dog, Enchilada.
