DJ Raquiqui aka Raquel Peña lives in Austin and works in the music industry full-time. Mixtapes and radio requests began at an early age. Raquiqui’s first favorite methods of listening to music were on an 80s pink tape player that also recorded audio and a hot pink handlheld radio perfect for listening to the radio underneath the bed covers. Deejaying with Chulita Vinyl Club has been a fulfilling opportunity, as well as creative outlet allowing her to share her love of music with other Latinx womxn in the community.
