Joanna is a 28 year old Latina born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. Her passion for music began at a young age with her grandfather and his guitar. She would love to hear him sing and play for hours on end which are her favorite childhood memories. When she finally got her hands on her own guitar and a couple of Beatles records, the passion for music only grew. At 18 she started collecting more vinyl, instruments, going to concerts. Little by little, coming out of her shell, she attended her first Austin City Limits Festival in Texas in 2010 and it was the first time she had experienced anything like that. Live music, ALL DAY, for 3 days! She loved it so much she's gone every year since. Experiences like those really prepped her have the courage to join CVC.
