Today, we feature a mix from one of our very own Chulitas - the mix comes directly from their vinyl collection.
This mix comes directly from CVC Austin, Chulita Canela ConSafos’ vinyl collection.
Shavone Otero is a proud Xicana from the high mountain desert of “Burque” (Albuquerque), Nuevo Mexico where deep roots connect her to a rich heritage. She moved to Austin in 2014 for grad school and found her niche with CVC in 2016. By day, she is an urban planner and advocate for equity & arts-based practices within her field. By night, she fulfills her creative side with poetry, dance, art and of course those crates of cumbia, funk, soul, disco, 80s, hip hop, house, oldies y mas.
