ATTN: WORLDWIDE WEB - Chulita Vinyl Club’s national collective is ultra excited to be a part of Printed Matter’s Virtual Art Book Fair (PMVABF) taking place from FEB 25–28, 2021.
Since 2005, @printedmatter_artbookfairs have hosted international exhibitors featuring a wide variety of works—from zines and artists’ books to rare and out of print publications, and contemporary art editions. While the past year has been challenging for the field of independent and artists’ publishing, CVC is grateful and excited for the chance to be a part of this community and share our vinyl collections & selections to uplift the important work of new and longstanding publishers.
Over the course of 5 days, #PMVABF will host dozens of live and pre-recorded programs including lectures, DJ sets, screenings, and conversations, led by artists, publishers, designers, musicians, and writers. A re-visioned presentation of The Stage goes virtual, presenting a multigenerational and global community of musicians together, with a full schedule featuring—DJ sets by NYC's @papijuicebk collective, Qatar's @sonicjeel collective, mixes from different chapters of #CVC, a video opera by @AnnaLuisaPetrisko, new songs by the legendary @vale_research of RE/Search Publications, a very special performance by the multi-instrumental mystic @laraaji_official, and many others. Performances start at 12pm EST each day and will then play on a loop for 24 hours so everyone from everywhere can tune in.
