“This mix is a lil love note to all of those who miss the energy of a sweaty, carefree dance floor—including myself. Though we’re slowly returning to spaces of shared community, being close to one another, collectively riding the wave of a steady beat or hugging homies, just won’t feel the same after the past year and a half. Even once it was okay to come out and gather, I continued to (and still do to this day) feel internally isolated. In the midst of a world I often can’t make sense of, I’ve found such pure joy listening to music at home & dancing like a damn fool with my fur baby. Whether you’re ready to come out or not, hopefully you find what makes you feel free. House music provides a special kind of release I can’t really describe. So I threw some cheeky lil dance tracks together to better tell that story. Enjoy.”

Si Mon’ aka si mon guey (she/her) is a Texas native currently living in SFC, Califas. She began her CVC journey spinning with the ATX chapter and eventually found herself in the Bay Area as an arts educator & director. Si Mon’ is a proud Afro-Latina/Afro-Tejana/Mezcla/Blaxican and virgo who finds inner peace in a good beat.
